Restrap

Chances of success are always good for a company that starts out on the idea of “Gees, that would be nice to have!” This is what happened when Restrap was founded in 2010. Pedal straps came first, followed by bike bags and bike straps. These days, Restrap produces everything you need to get your luggage stored somewhere on your bike, and stays true to the motto “design, build, ride”. If you want to find out more about Restrap’s gripping products, simply keep on reading!

Things to know about Restrap

Imagine someone standing in front of his bike with his hands full and absolutely no clue where to put all the stuff. This is how we imagine the beginnings of Restrap in Yorkshire in 2010. There was a sewing machine in the spare room, the rest is history.

Restrap started it’s story of success with a humble set of pedal straps, soon the first self-sewn bike bags should follow. Today, they make all kinds of bike packs you can imagine, and that you might need on your everyday rides, for bike packing or touring. Restrap’s products no longer come from the spare bedroom, of course, but still from England mostly, that way founder/owner Nathan has full control over the quality, the working conditions and the materials used. It also helps keep the carbon footprint small, today an ever more pressing issue.

If you want to transport more on your bike than just yourself, Restrap will help you out. Bags for bikers are their main business these days, you can buy saddle bags, handlebar bags, stem bags or frame packs

Restrap panniers and bicycle bags

Restrap’s frame bags can be mounted on or inside your bike’s frame, right behind the stem or in front of the saddle. You can also strap a bag right onto the seat post. Restap makes saddle bags in several sizes with a capacity of up to 14 liters – that means all your bike packing gear is safely stored! Amongst their handlebar bags you can find large handlebar rolls or smaller stem bags that will hold your keys, wallet or a water bottle. If you prefer storing your things on a good old bike rack, you can buy one from restrap too, if you’re missing one. For a more minimalistic bike transport, you can buy all kinds of straps and velcros that tie things to your frame.

Bike merch for bike nerds

Most of Restrap’s bags are waterproof – drybags – or at least water resistant. At the same time, they’re lightweight and don’t add too much to your ride’s permitted weight. All mounts are made to fit different bikes and keep everything in place without harming your finish. Apart from all the bike luggage you can buy some bike merch that proves you to be a true bike nerd, shirts, bike caps and a mug for your campfire morning coffee.
